BJ Penn’s Next Opponent Revealed, UFC 112 Fight Likely

Frankie Edgar is likely to receive a title shot against UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn. The matchup is likely to occur in April. Yesterday, BJ Penn announced that he would likely fight at UFC 112 on April 10 in Abu Dhabi.
Edgar is 11-1 and has gone 6-1 in the UFC since debuting with the promotion in early-2007. Three straight wins over Hermes Franca, former champ Sean Sherk, and att Veach were apparently enough to earn him a matchup with Penn.
